masochisticbeauty: love this Want! It’s so true. I was in the absolute depths of depression, never leaving the house, planning how I would end my misery. The OH suddenly decided I could have the puppy I’d been wanting. I knew I wanted a cockapoo because all the cockapoos I’d ever been around were such nice dogs. I started to look on the internet and finally found Jack.His first name was D.D. which was short for dumpster dog. A lady in Philly heard a noise in a dumpster so she climbed in and got him out. They delivered him to the rescue where I found him. His first night home, the OH said Jack wasn’t allowed in our bed. We had a large bunny cage and the OH closed him in there when we went to bed. Jack cried and cried and I laid in bed and worried. Around midnight, he finally quieted down. I was relieved and started to drift off, my arm and foot were hanging over the edge as they usually do. There was a sudden, startling brush up against my hand that made me pop up in bed and scream. I saw something white jump up and run back around the bed at the same time. I had scared him as much as he had scared me! He spent that night in my bed and every night since. He is my baby. I tease my kids all the time that I love Jack best, and it’s true that I love him more than I ever thought was possible.
